“The app is Saudi and has lots of Saudi food, plus the local restaurants. The menu of every restaurant I want is there, with its calories.”

Pricing, platforms, scan accuracy, the food database, health sync and cancellation: what to know about Miran.

Is Miran free?
Miran is free to download. Free features include barcode scanning, restaurant calorie lookups, community and challenges, and a selection of exercises and activities. A Miran Prime subscription unlocks AI photo meal scanning and personalized AI Plans for workouts and nutrition. Prices in Saudi riyals (SAR) are shown in the Pricing section, and there is no free trial.
Is Miran available on iPhone and Android?
Yes. Miran is on the App Store for iPhone (iOS 16 or later) and on Google Play for Android, and the whole app works in both Arabic and English.
How does Miran count calories?
Three ways: take a photo of your plate and Miran estimates calories, protein, carbs and fat in seconds; scan the barcode of a packaged product; or search a database of 120,000+ foods. You can edit every item and portion before saving.
How accurate is Miran's AI food scan?
The AI scan gives an estimate from a photo, not a weighed measurement. Portion size and hidden ingredients such as oil and sauces affect accuracy, so Miran shows each detected item and portion for you to adjust before saving. For packaged food, the barcode scan pulls the nutrition-label values.
What's in Miran's food database?
More than 120,000 foods, including Saudi and Gulf dishes such as kabsa, mandi and shawarma, 900+ healthy recipes, and menu items from 40+ restaurants including Albaik, McDonald's, KFC, Kudu, Shawarma House and Mama Noura. Restaurant calories are free to look up.
Can Miran correct my exercise form?
Yes. Miran's Guided Camera Coach follows your movement through the phone camera, counts your reps, and cues you to fix your posture, tempo and range of motion while you train. The exercise library has 500+ exercises.
What are AI Plans and Mira?
AI Plans build a week of workouts and meals around your goal, activity level and schedule, and rebuild it when you tell them what changed. Mira is Miran's in-app AI nutrition agent: ask her about your meals, calories and everyday food choices.
Does Miran sync with Apple Health and Health Connect?
Yes. Miran syncs with Apple Health on iPhone and with Health Connect on Android, so your steps and activity stay in one place.
How does Miran set my daily calorie target?
Miran calculates your basal metabolic rate with the revised Harris-Benedict equation, multiplies it by your activity factor, adjusts it for your goal (lose, maintain or gain), and splits the result into protein, carbs and fat. You can try the same formula free in the calorie calculator on this site.
Is Miran medical advice?
No. Miran gives general fitness and nutrition guidance and does not diagnose or treat any condition. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or take medication, talk to your doctor before changing your diet or training. Results vary from person to person.
How do I cancel Miran Prime?
If you subscribed through the App Store: open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Miran, then Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date; Prime stays active until the end of the paid period. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
Who makes Miran?
